Who will be reel life Ilayaraja?

We all revere and adore music maestro Ilayaraja. Now, when a Tamil musical thriller Isai, based on the lives of two music geniuses—Ilayaraja and his disciple AR Rahman--is on the making, all his fans are wondering who will play Ilayaraja’s role?
The film has been written and directed by SJ Surya. The film stars Surya and debutant Savithri in the lead roles.Moreover, Surya himself has composed the music for the film. Reports say actor Sathyaraj is playing the reel life role of Ilayaraja, as his character shares lot of similarity with the music maestro. However, nothing has been confirmed by the filmmakers.
Kannada cinema audience are eagerly waiting for the film, as both Ilayaraja and AR Rahman are worshipped by the music listeners across Karnataka. The 70-year-old music maestro during the early days of his career has worked as a musical assistant to Kannada film composer G. K. Venkatesh. During that time Ilayaraja has worked in 200 film projects, mostly in the Kannada language.
Some of Ilayaraja’s hit Kannada numbers are Hrudaya Rangoli, Keladhe Nimageega and Nannali Neenaagi, among others.
