After a series of Madurai-based films like Subramaniapuram,Goripalayam and the recent Veluthukattu, here is one from the Kongu region.
Thaa is set in the dry areas of Coimbatore. It is going to be a surprise package for many because Coimbatore and its surrounding areas are generally considered to be very green. But I have handpicked some dry areas in the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border Chavadi, says debutant director RK Surya Prabhakar, who has worked as an associate director with Samuthirakani.
So, is there any particular reason why he chose such locales? The film is about a bunch of people who flock to work in a factory due to the failure of crops.

Srihari plays a villager from Chavadi who happens to marry a well-educated girl. But after their marriage, things turn topsy-turvy as they find it hard to get accustomed to each others way of living, adds Prabhakar. The shooting of the film is complete and post production work is on in full swing. The film is likely to hit theatres next month.
