I play a boy-next-door, college-going guy, who is careless and a little childish. How he gets into trouble while trying to help a girl who is in crisis forms the crux of the story. It is a comedy and suspense film, which will make a fun watch for the audience. After Tirupathi Express, I wanted to do a

comedy film

, so I agreed to be part of Govind Govinda project. A major portion of the movie has been shot at Vijayapura. We will soon start shooting for the song sung by All OK. It’s a peppy number. The movie has also got a U certificate. We are waiting for cinema halls to reopen to release the movie.

You’re the son of well-known film producer Shailendra Babu. Has your journey in the industry been easy or challenging?
My father has been in the industry for more than 30 years, and he has produced over 20 films. People tend to compare me with other actors. My father’s advice to me before I made my

debut

with the movie Dilwala was that I should be well-versed with acting and dancing skills, as well as stunts.
You made your Telugu debut with

Brand Babu

. How has been the experience there?

My first Telugu movie Brand Babu got a good response from the audiences. I would love to be part of projects in different languages.

I have finished shooting for the movie Miss India, which has Keerthy Suresh in the lead role. The film has an interesting storyline, and it is likely to be released on a

OTT

platform in both Telugu and Tamil.
