Sudeep's Kotigobba-2 to release across India

Two weeks after its mega opening in Karnataka, Kotigobba-2 will have release across the country on September 2, which happens to be lead actor Sudeep's birthday. The film has already turned out to be a big commercial hit in the state.
It film also made in Tamil as Mudinja Ivana Pudi and released the same time. Though there was demand for the film to be released in other states, it could not be done due to various reasons.Now, the distributor has finalised dozens of locations in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Delhi and even West Bengal for the release of the Kannada film there.
Distributor A Manju (Jack) said: 'We have managed to find a good list of theatres in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Hyderabad and Kolkata. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the Kannada film will have a wide release. Sudeep has a huge fan following there.'

Meanwhile, the film has turned out to be a box office hit.In over two weeks, the film is estimated to have raked in more than `25 crore. It is the only big film running in theatres in the last three weeks.
The other films that did not even dent its collections. On its third Sunday, the film grossed around `25 lakh in multiplex screens of Bengaluru alone.Sources said that in the overall box office returns, the collections from multiplexes will overtake that of single screen theatres in Karnataka.
'The film has completed 2,200 shows in multiplexes in 15 days, which is the highest for any Kannada film so far. In its third week, the film has 106 shows per day in multiplexes which is also a record,' said Manju.
