Not many know that Ulidavaru Kandante star
Rakshit Shetty is a huge
Girish Kasaravalli fan.
The actor who is in Manipal for the ongoing film festival shared how one of the main reasons behind him staying back after the screening of Ulidavaru Kandante on Friday was because Kasaravalli's Koormavatara was being played later that day.
"I've watched all of Kasaravalli's film and some of them many times over," he says.
Accompanied by his co-actors Rishab Shetty and Yagna Shetty, Rakshit congratulated Kasaravalli on his
national award and spent a few moment with the filmmaker before proceeding to watch the film.
"I, too had made a short film on Gandhi a few years ago and connected deeply with Koormavatara which is also about Gandhian philosophy. But watching Kasaravalli sir depicting Gandhi was such a moving experience," says the actor who confesses to have visited Kasaravalli at his home on many occasions for guidance and mentoring.
