Nan Love Track is a first for many. It not only marks Kollywood director Kathir and actor Rakshith Gowda, aka Rakku’s,
Sandalwood debut, it also marks Rakshith’s father, retired police offer BN Krishnamurthy’s acting debut.
Krishnamurthy, who has been a stage actor, will do a cameo in the film — that of Rakku’s college principal. “Since I’ve conducted myself in a strict and professional manner as a police officer, Kathir suggested that I play the role of a college principal in the film.
He felt that I fit the bill because the role required one to act in a crisp and professional manner. I was initially reluctant, but Kathir and my son persuaded me,” he says.
About the scene, Krishnamurthy says, “It’s a short scene in which I congratulate Rakku for winning the race and wish him luck for the future. I was a little nervous while shooting, but my son gave me a lot of confidence and encouraged me.” — Parinatha.Sampath @timesgroup.com
