Osthi is Simbu's next

At last, the Tamil remake of the Hindi blockbuster Dabangg, has got a title. The film starring Simbu, will be called Osthi-The Cool Cop.
The pooja of the film was held this morning at AVM Studios in Chennai and the event had a number of celebrities comprising producer RB Chowdhry, actress Revathi, director-actor T Rajendar and Salman���������s brother Arbaaz Khan.Speaking to the media after the pooja, the director of the film Dharani said, ���������Sonu Sood, who played the villain in the original will reprise his character in the Tamil remake.���������
Actor Simbu added, ���������I am a big fan of Salman Khan and the moment I saw Dabangg, I felt that I would suit the role. I am going to play a policeman for the first time in my career and I���������m really excited. I���������m also sure that Dharani will provide a new dimension to my character.���������
However, Richa Gangaopadhyaya, the heroine of the film was not present during the launch. Jithan Ramesh will play Simbu���������s brother in the film and Thaman will score the music.
