Koormavathara gaining appreciation worldwide

World renowned film director Girish Kasaravalli' film 'Koormavathara' has not been seen by any Kannada film audience except for some media persons and film enthusiasts. But the film which has already won a National Award. It has already entered a few festivals, but the record in the last week for this film is unbeatable.
'Koormavathara' has a distinction of being the only Kannada film to be selected as an entry in five international festivals.The film will be screened for competition in the International Film Festival in Berlin, Asian Film Festival in Berlin and Mumbai's International film festival. It has also been selected for the Toronto Festival in Canada.
'Koormavathara' is based on a story written by well known writer Kum Veerabhadrappa, Bhaskar is the cinemetographer. Shikaripura Krishnamurthy has played the role of Gandhiji while Jayanthi plays the role of Kasthurba in the film. Basanth Kumar Patil is the producer of the film.
