I’m so excited to enter this new chapter of fatherhood: Vasuki

Excitement is building in music composer-actor Vasuki Vaibhav and dancer Brunda Vikram’s household as they prepare for the arrival of their first child. “We just held the seventh-month pooja for Brunda, and I was beaming standing beside her,” Vasuki says. “Everyone at home still treats me like a child. The feeling that I’m about to become a father hasn’t fully sunk in yet,” he adds, with a laugh.
‘A JOINT FAMILY PROVIDES A UNIQUE SECURITY I WANT FOR MY CHILD’
Having been raised in a joint family, Vasuki is deeply rooted in the traditions and values that shaped his upbringing. “We live in a large compound where my aunt, uncles, and cousins all reside in our family home. Celebrating habbas, sharing meals, and growing up surrounded by loved ones — it’s all had a profound impact on me,” he says.

‘I WANT TO GIVE MY CHILD THE SAME LOVE I GREW UP WITH’
A sense of togetherness is something Vasuki experienced while growing up. “I want to raise my little one in that same atmosphere — with love, warmth, and the security that only a joint family can provide. Especially in today’s fast-paced, digital world, those old-world values are more important than ever. They keep us grounded and connected,” observes Vasuki. As the due date nears, Vasuki says he’s cherishing every quiet moment with his wife before stepping into the next chapter of their lives.
