The nearly six months of

lockdown

and no film-related work didn’t really bother

actor Nenapirali Prem

, who loves

spending time

at home with family anyway. “Yes, there were things like

story discussions

, narrations, etc., that I used to travel for, which I just began doing at home. I also used to head out to the gym and for dance classes, all of which I did at home, with a conscious effort to not have negative thoughts about this change in routine. In effect, I didn’t really feel a big difference,” says the actor, who returned to the set of his milestone 25th film,

Premam Poojyam

, a week ago, and has now completed the film.

“After all these months, I was quite excited about going back to shooting. We took all the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of everyone involved. Also, since we had a coronavirus case in the family, when my mother tested positive earlier, I was prepared on how to handle myself in a public setting,” he says, adding, “Premam Poojyam is a film that I have dedicated a year to. We had just a week’s schedule pending when the lockdown was announced, which we have now completed in Chikkamagaluru. It has taken us a year because I have nine looks in the film. It also had to be shot across multiple locations, like Vietnam, Madhya Pradesh, Dharamshala, Mudigere, Munnar, Ooty, etc.”
But what can audiences expect from this film? “It is, no doubt, a family drama with comedy and action and a beautiful love story. That’s all I can reveal at this point. There is something special for audiences and we will not disappoint them,” Prem signs off.
