I relished donning 20 get-ups in my debut film, says Saarthak

Saarthak is the latest actor from Kannada television to make his silver screen debut. The film, South Indian Hero, is being directed by Naresh Kumar, who had earlier helmed films like First Rank Raju and Raju Kannada Medium.
A delighted Saarthak says, “My dream to act in films is now becoming a reality. The story is initially set in Hampi where I play the role of a physics teacher, Logic Laxman Rao. He tries to apply the logic of physics in every sphere of life. He is also an amateur artiste who acts in a theatre company, owned by his father. When a director sees his performance, he decides to cast my character in a commercial movie. But he doesn’t stop applying his formulas even on the sets.”

The young actor has donned nearly 20 different get-ups which, he says, was quite a challenge. “It’s not to make people laugh. The story demanded it because the main protagonist draws inspiration from legendary actors like Rajkumar, Rajinikanth and NTR. We have shot in the barren mountains of Ladakh and Kashmir during the season of heavy snowfall.”
The project, which has Kaashima Rafi and Urvashi Jayan in the female lead roles, also has Yogaraj Bhat, Vijay Chendoor, Amith, Ashwin Rao Pallaki and Gurudev in significant roles.
