Get set for a funnier version of Dr Halappa in Johnny Johnny Yes Papa

Sadhu Kokila reprises his role as the funny gynaecologist
Remember

Dr Halappa

, the

gynaecologist

whose treatment for fever included asking his patient to gargle with phenyl? Kannada cinema’s funnyman, Sadhu Kokila had audiences guffawing as the doc every time he was onscreen in the 2011 film, Johnny Mera Naam, Preethi Mera Kaam. He’s back again, in what director Preetham Gubbi promises to be a far funnier avatar.
“In the first film, Sadhu, as Dr Halappa, used to ask his patients funnily absurd questions and dole out treatment. In

Johnny Johnny Yes Papa

, his questions will be funnier, which was a challenge for us to write, as we had to maintain humour without overstepping boundaries of decency,” says Preetham.
