Exclusive: Amulya is now Rukmini!

His last release, Krishna Leela, did well at the box office, so there was a sense of curiosity as to what Krishna Ajai Rao would do next. He now returns to collaborate with the makers of Krishnan Love Story, for another romantic entertainer, to be directed by Anil of Dilwala fame, called Mava I Love You, with a tagline Krishna Rukku Story.
For the first-time ever, Ajai will be paired with Amulya.“Our pairing has been discussed for a while, but date issues prevented us from collaborating on earlier projects. In fact, she was one of the frontrunners for Krishna Leela, but that did not work out either. Interestingly, just as I came across a good script, she too was available and we got her on board,” says the actor, adding with a laugh, “Having a young heroine works to my advantage, as it makes me look young too.”
In the film, says Ajai, both his and Amulya’s characters come across as very innocent, “but there is an undercurrent, like a cat-and-mouse game, wherein both of us are very naughty and are out to get at each other.”
