Darshan-starrer 'Kaatera,' is slated to be the last Kannada film of 2023. The movie is making headlines for its remarkable advance booking sales, surpassing 60,000 tickets sold ahead of its release on December 29.

The film has already achieved an impressive revenue of Rs 1.4 crore through advance bookings, and these figures are steadily increasing as the release date approaches.

Directed by Tharun Sudhir, ‘Kaatera’ features Darshan, Jagapathi Babu, and Aradhana Ram in prominent roles. The movie falls within the action drama genre and will be specifically released in the Kannada language. It will not be a pan-India film. Despite this, the film’s advance booking has exceeded Rs 1 crore, demonstrating significant anticipation and enthusiasm among the audience.

This overwhelming response underscores the popularity and appeal of Darshan Thoogudeepa, known for his roles in films like 'Saarathi,' 'Roberrt,' and 'Yajamana'. His last appearance was in 'Kranti,' directed by Harikrishna.

During a recent press briefing, the film's makers expressed high expectations for 'Kaatera.' Director Tharun Sudhir revealed that producer Rockline Venkatesh was immensely satisfied with the film, surpassing expectations given Venkatesh’s extensive industry experience.

‘Kaatera’ is anticipated to be based on a true story and set in a rural backdrop and boasts a runtime of nearly 2 hours and 59 minutes.
