From Danish Sait, Pratham to Pranam Devaraj; Actors who made remarkable debuts in Sandalwood in 2018!

Kannada film industry always welcomes newcomers to prove their talents. Actors are the main part of the movies. 2018 proved to be one of the better years for Sandalwood as the industry witnessed quite a few remarkable debuts by actors. Here are the few actors who made their Sandalwood debuts in 2018.

Danish Sait was formerly a host, digital content creator, influencer, comedian who became popular after hosting cricketers on a show. His acting, comic timing, dialogue delivery and his facial expressions made him popular and attracted the directors in Sandalwood and got him an opportunity in films. Danish Sait made his debut with the movie 'Humble Politician Nograj' written and directed by Saad Khan. He played the role of a selfish politician who uses public resources for his own purpose, his acting in the movie attracted everyone and made them laugh.

Pratham is known as Olle Huduga Pratham in the industry. Pratham who was an activist and film director achieved fame after participating in 2017's 'Bigg Boss' (Kannada) and winning it. After 'Bigg Boss', Pratham directed the movie ‘Devravne Budu Guru’ and played a guest role in the movie ‘Raju Kannada Medium’. Later, directors lined up to cast him in lead roles. Director Kiran Shetty planned a movie and Pratham made his debut as a lead actor in ‘Devrantha Manushya’.

A plate of bhel puri and chat with a friend gifted Likith Shetty his debut in Sandalwood. Likith Shetty who was an interior designer started his career in 2007 with the television screen. It took him a long time to make it to the big screen. He made his appearance in Tulu movies and acted in two successful movies like ‘Oriyardori Asal’ and ‘Madimeto’ which ran for 300 and 100 days respectively. Likith Shetty who is also an entrepreneur, after 11 years of acting and struggle, made his debut in Sandalwood with the movie ‘Sankashtahara Ganapathi’ with a unique story idea based on Alien Hand Syndrome.

Pranam Devaraj is the son of renowned actor Devaraj and brother of Dynamic Prince Prajwal Devraj. Pranam who is a graduate in arts is also a dancer and kickboxer. The grip of his family in the industry and talent in him as an actor made his debut movie ‘Kumari 21F’ a memorable one. The film was a romantic movie which attracted the youth audiences.

Ranjan was rejected in the audition but was later selected after director Rishab Shetty spoke to him. Ranjan at the age of seventeen made his debut in ‘Sarkari Hi. Pra. Shaale, Kasaragodu, Koduge: Ramanna Rai’ which became a successful movie. Ranjan is one of the youngest debutants of 2018 in Sandalwood.
