Shalivahana Shakhe

Plot: Shalivahana Shakhe revolves around the lives of three friends in the village of Shalivahana: Ranga (Girish), Pandya (Chillar Manja), and Daya (Dayananda Sagar). These carefree friends live life on their own terms. One day, before heading to their kabaddi practice, they decide to swim in an open well. During this, one of them drowns, and they discover an ancient conch, which acts as a time-turner.

Ranga, the most intelligent of the group, realizes the magical powers of the conch and tries to use it to save his friend’s life. Alongside, Ranga is also romantically involved with Shruthi (Supritha Sathyanarayan), who is struggling to pass her PUC exams. With the help of Ranga, she manages to succeed.

Movie Review: Shalivahana Shakhe is a novel attempt by director and actor Girish, who blends time-loop elements into a rural setting. The film primarily focuses on a limited cast and a simple story, which works to some extent but doesn't fully explore the potential of the unique concept. While Girish deserves credit for experimenting with time loops and mythological elements, themes rarely explored in Sandalwood, the story lacks depth and conviction.

With a broader range of characters and a more intricate plot, the film could have been much more gripping and intense. Nonetheless, if you're interested in time-travel stories with a touch of native culture, Shalivahana Shakhe might capture your attention
