Onti

Onti (Arya) is a carefree and good-hearted guy, who lives his life to the fullest without worrying about the future. In fact, his life is all about solving problems for his friends, every time they face a crisis. He even turns a deaf ear to his brother Shankranna’s (Ninasam Ashwath) repeated requests to make a living by starting his own venture, and continues to lead a jovial life without a job.

Then, cupid strikes and Onti falls in love with a college lass Paaru (Meghana Raj). She rebukes him initially, but begins to have feelings for him after she gets to know about his good deeds and an instance when Onti saves her from miscreants. In the process, though, Onti gets into the bad books of the villain, Silk, owing to which he even loses his close friend Kutty (Pawan Kumar).

The second half of the film is a revenge saga, with Onti taking on Silk and his group for causing the death of Kutty. Whether Onti gets his happily-ever-after with Paaru forms the rest of the story.

Onti is a run-of-the-mill commercial drama with ample doses of action, but the story is weak and doesn’t make an impact. There are a lot of punch lines, which might appeal to some sections of viewers. If you have a penchant for action flicks with some bits of romance thrown in, Onti might interest you.
