Ram and Raaj are best friends, studying in rival colleges. The value each other more than anything else in their lives. But, what happens when a woman enters their lives?

Director Kathir is best remembered for his Tamil hits like Idhayam, Kadhal Desam and Kadhalar Dinam. These filmsunderstood the pulse of the youth, including the music they followed. The filmmaker has been missing since the early 2000s, when his film Kadhal Virus failed to impress anyone. This 'comeback' vehicle has some predictable elements one would expect from his films. But, are those enough? Not by a long mile.

The film, which is supposed to be a love story on one side and a tale of two best friends on the other, ends up being an extended video portfolio for the lead hero Rakku. Agreed he does have a charming screen presence and has been a known face on small screen, but those aren't reasons enough for the excess of the protagonist, leaving the rest of the characters remain as mere props.

The heroine is reduced to a few 'pretty close-ups' and song sequences, while the best friend Raaj, played by Vasishta, hardly has much to do. One wonders what would have coerced Kathir to forget the other characters to only concentrate on one.

The script, too, falls flat at most times. It is a mix of the friendship part of Kadhal Desam and the college rivalry and sports bit from Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, narrated at the pace of an 80s Malayalam art film. The climax could go down as one of the most ridiculous ones seen in 2016 in Sandalwood. But would you dare to sit through the entire film to only see that climax?
