On January 24, reports confirmed the test results of the two stars. YG Entertainment announced that while Lee Seung Hoon tested positive, his
WINNER
band members -Kang Seung Yoon, Kim Jin Woo, and Song Mino- had tested negative.
Lee Seung Hoon first did a self-test and after his results turned out to be positive, he also received a PCR test to confirm the diagnosis.
In a statement, the record label assured that all WINNER members have halted their scheduled activities. It was also noted that Lee Seung Hoon is vaccinated and did not have any symptoms when diagnosed, and continues to remain in good health.
Meanwhile,
THE BOYZ
’s Eric tested positive after having dinner with an acquaintance who tested positive. A statement from his agency IST Entertainment confirmed that Eric contracted the virus despite receiving his third booster dose of the vaccine.
"After hearing news of Eric’s positive COVID-19 test, this morning, THE BOYZ and the staff all got tested for COVID-19. Currently, we are waiting for the results of the tests," read the statement.
