Just as the clock struck midnight on May 28 KST, RM unveiled the visuals for “Groin,” a track from his recent solo album “Right Place, Wrong Person.”

“Groin” isn’t your typical tune. It’s an alternative hip hop piece with a rocking vibe and an infectious chorus that sticks in your head. But what really sets it apart is its honest expression of dislike towards certain individuals.

In the music video, RM doesn’t hold back. Through dynamic visuals and raw lyrics, he paints a vivid picture of his feelings towards those he’s not fond of. It’s a refreshing departure from the usual love songs and party anthems, offering listeners a glimpse into RM’s unfiltered thoughts and emotions.

RM, whose real name is Kim Nam-joon, is a multifaceted talent hailing from South Korea. He's not only a rapper but also a songwriter and record producer. RM embarked on his solo journey back in 2015 with his first mixtape, "RM," followed by "Mono" in 2018, which made history by becoming the highest-charting album by a Korean soloist in the United States.

In 2022, RM made his official solo debut with the release of his studio album "Indigo," featuring collaborations with acclaimed artists like Erykah Badu and Anderson .Paak. The album soared to number three on the Billboard 200, solidifying RM's position as a trailblazer in the music industry.

RM's journey to stardom began when he auditioned for Big Deal Records in 2009. Although he stumbled in the audition, fate intervened when rapper Sleepy recognized his potential and introduced him to Big Hit Entertainment producer Pdogg. This encounter paved the way for RM's entry into the music scene, eventually leading to the formation of BTS.

Training alongside fellow members Suga and J-Hope, RM honed his skills for three years before debuting with BTS in 2013. Since then, he has been an integral part of the group, contributing as a songwriter and producer, and even making solo appearances like his performance of the intro track for BTS' first EP.
