Rudali play highlights the struggle of farmers

The Eighth Theatre Olympics organised by National School of Drama (NSD), under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, at Nagari Natak Mandali was a delight for the theatre lovers of the city. During the two-week-long festival, some brilliant plays were staged in varied languages depicting the rich theatrical traditions of india.
The festival opened with 'Rudali', directed by veteran theatre artist Usha Ganguly.The popular play depicted the travails of farmers who struggle against the exploitative system.
