, Yaad Piya Ki Aaye, and Zubin Balaporia (part of Indus Creed band) collaborated with

Grammy award

winner fame Vijay Prakash for a song, Khulay Aasman Ki Oar, which is a tribute to the brave officers of the Indian Air Force.

"Since the film, The Great Indian Escape, is based on the Indian Air Force, the makers needed someone with a special understanding of the Indian

Classical music

to recreate the era and sound of the 70s with the music. The vocals of the thumris, the melodic playing of the dilruba accompanied by the beats of the tabla and at some places the jori pakhawaj lend a unique blend of Indian and western amalgamation to the soundtrack of the film," says a source.

Khulay Aasman Ki Oar is the film's title song. It showcases how the Indian Air Force officers escaped from a POW prison in Pakistan. The song, Yaad Piya Ki Aaye, showcases the pain and longing of a dear one brought forth beautifully by Bade Ghulam Ali Khan and sung soulfully by Avtar Kaur Namdhari. The song has been shot in a scenic landscape.
