Her current stint on American Idol has not only earned her accolades but made her a household name globally.
Her music exudes energy just like herself and her passion too comes through on stage. After a long hiatus, J-Lo is back to capture the music charts with her new album titled Love?. Ask her if the album was inspired by her twins, Max and Emme, and she says, “It was actually conceived after the babies were born. I think having a baby has definitely inspired the lyrics and the music on my new album.”
J-Lo also says that being a mother changes one’s perception of the world. “Once you have a baby, you think of world in a different way because you feel love in a deeper, more profound way than you ever felt it in your life and it makes you question and think about things in a different way. I decided to call it Love? because I started questioning, thinking, wondering and challenging myself when it came to love,” she explains.
According to the 41-year-old feisty legend, who has romanced a few men before settling down to marital bliss with Marc Anthony, “Love is this big thing in our lives that nobody can live without and no living thing can survive without.”
Considering this album is all about love, is it autobiographical? “I wanted to challenge a topic and wanted to talk about different aspects of love; all the different things that people think and go through. That was kind of the idea; that was just the beginning and then it goes like a tree — it goes in different directions and that’s when the album becomes.”
She is one artist who has transcended many musical genres and achieved success – just like her ventures in other walks of life. It looks like love does indeed make the world go round!
