Singam II

The Devi Sri Prasad-Hari combination worked well in Singam and they try to repeat the same magic in the second part of the film. DSP gets a foot-tapping album in Singam 2, though it sounds uncomfortably very similar to Singam.

The Devi Sri Prasad-Hari combination worked well in Singam and they try to repeat the same magic in the second part of the film. Just listen to Waale Waale… by Shankar Mahadevan and Singam Dance… and there is a distinct sense of deja vu from the first film. Some of the arrangements too sound very similar. Puriyavillai… by Shwetha Mohan is a lovely duet, delivered effortlessly by the singer.
1x1 polls
The tune itself is quite catchy and you find yourself humming this simple-yet-effective tune after a few listens. Singam Dance… is foot-tapping and is sure to appeal to the masses. One is sure to see audiences whistling and cheering when this is played on screen. While Hariharan is inspiring in Vidhai Pola…, which should fit the on-screen proceedings, DSP is at his energetic best in Achachamillai…, which even has a reference to the title song of the original Singam. The backgrounds of Kannukulle… sound a lot like Kadhal Vandale… from the first film, and perhaps it’s meant to be like that, considering the success the original enjoyed. DSP gets a foot-tapping album in Singam 2, though it sounds uncomfortably very similar to Singam.
