Nitin Kakkar’s 'Jawaani Jaaneman' is a comedy, starring Saif Ali Khan, debutant Alaya Furniturewala and Tabu. The multi-composer album has Gourov-Roshin, Tanishk Bagchi and Prem-Hardeep and the lyrics have been penned by Devshi Khanduri, Shellee, Preet Harpal, Mumzy Stranger and Shabbir Ahmed.

and written by Preet Harpal, the Jazzy B track featuring Apache Indian, 'Dil Luteya' (2011), was a massive hit. And for this film, it has been recreated by Prem and Hardeep as 'Gallan Kardi'. Sung by Jazzy B and Jyotica Tangri, with a rap by Mumzy, this version is snappier with a markedly increased tempo. It won’t be a surprise if this makes it to the charts and ends up as a party anthem.

The next, 'Ole Ole 2.0' makes you nostalgic as you yearn to listen to Abhijeet Bhattacharya’s original version. It had been composed by Dilip Sen-Sameer Sen and written by Sameer Anjaan for 'Yeh Dillagi' (1994). Not just the song but Saif, too, is an upgraded version in this number and has come far from the ‘cute guy’ way back then, to the ‘hot metrosexual man’ in this one. This dance track, recreated by Tanishk Bagchi, has Amit Mishra’s vocals and is easily one of the grooviest dance tracks in the album.

Composers Gourov-Roshin’s Hinglish song 'Bandhu Tu Mera' is a pleasant melodious number interspersed with some EDM and singer Yasser Desai’s rendition takes this track to another level.

'Mere Baabula' is another Gourov-Roshin creation and this soulful, slow track has earthy-voiced singers Harshdeep Kaur, Akhil Sachdeva who do complete justice to it.

The music album, like most in Bollywood these days, is a predictable mix of recreations and originals.
