Making her Hindi film debut with Salman Khan-starrer ‘Tubelight’, Chinese actor-singer Zhu Zhu is all set to wow Indian viewers. Zhu Zhu has already made appearances in Chinese and Hollywood films, and American TV shows. With only a few months left for the film’s release, very little is known about the exotic actress. Here’s looking at some lesser known facts about Zhu Zhu.

At the age of three, Zhu Zhu started to learn the piano. She grew up to be so good that she performed the tale of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ on stage when she was in junior school.

In 2005, Zhu Zhu joined a popular music channel in China and hosted music programs on the channel’s domestic network. She was discovered by talent scouts after winning a local singing contest in Beijing and then won the third place at the national level. Zhu Zhu was signed on by a music label in 2007 and her first album was released in 2009.

Along with her being a natural in the musical arena and being an actor, Zhu Zhu is a qualified engineer. She graduated from Beijing Technology and Business University, where she majored in electronics and information engineering.

After appearing in major Hollywood films like ‘Cloud Atlas’ and ‘The Man with the Iron Fists’ in smaller roles, Zhu Zhu landed a major part in the American TV series ‘Marco Polo’.
