When Nawazuddin Siddiqui went unnoticed in Bollywood movies

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has come a long way in Bollywood. The actor, who is known for taking on a number of challenging roles, has waited his turn to step up as leading star in films. While he has earned acclaim for his roles in movies like 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', 'Talaash', 'Manjhi-The Mountain Man', 'Kick', there was a time when Nawaz went unnoticed in the films he acted in, in his budding days.
Did you know that 'Talash' was not the first film where Nawaz shared screen space with Aamir Khan? The two stars had previously worked together in the movie 'Sarfarosh'. Before becoming a household name, Nawaz had worked with Bollywood actors Aamir Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit.

Munnabhai MBBS

Nawazudding Siddiqui starred in a supporting role of a pickpocket in Rajkumar Hirani's 'Munnabhai MBBS'. He shows up on-screen in a scene where Munna (Sanjay Dutt) pretends to be a doctor in front of his parents but is called out by Nawaz's character as being a goon and not a doctor. However, Nawaz's character ends up getting thrashed by Munna's gang in a comic scene that is a must watch!

Sarfarosh

No role is too small! Nawaz has proved this time and again. In Aamir Khan's 'Sarfarosh', Nawaz essayed the character of a criminal in the custody of the cops. Aamir's character meets him in jail to gather some information regarding a raid he was involved in. According to reports, it was during the shoot of 'Talash' that Nawaz reminded Aamir about their first meeting on the sets of 'Sarfarosh'.

Aaja Nachle

Madhuri Dixit marked her return to Bollywood with the 2007 dance-drama 'Aaja Nachle'. Interestingly, Nawazuddin appeared in the film playing one of Madhuri's servants. In spite of being on the poster of the movie, not many took note of the actor's presence in the film.

Black Friday

Nawazuddin appeared in Anurag Kashyap’s crime-drama ‘Black Friday’, which was based on a true story of Mumbai bomb blasts. He played a role of Asgar Mukadam, who was involved in the acts of terror.

Nawaz's acting prowess has always made the audience sit up and take note of his character, be it an antagonist or even a supporting role. He also made cameos in movies like 'New York', 'Dev D', 'Manorama Six Feet Under', 'Ek Chalis Ki Last Local' and also 'Shool' to name a few.
