Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding was one of the biggest weddings of this year. From a starry sangeet night to a close-knit Anand Karaj wedding ceremony to an extremely fun Bollywood reception night, the functions were quite eventful. After dating for over four years, Sonam and Anand tied the holy knot on May 8th in Mumbai suburbs.

Apart from families, every close friend of the couple’s whether within the Bollywood circuit or outside made sure that they are a part of the celebrations. Everyone at the event poured in their blessings for the happy couple and even the ones who couldn’t be a part of the auspicious occasion made sure that they congratulated the happy couple through social media.

Today, Sonam Kapoor took to her Instagram to thank each and everyone who made their D-day extra special with their wishes. She wrote, “Anand & I would like to thank everyone who made our wedding the most magical 2 days of our lives. We would like to take this moment to thank each and every one of you who made this day special…”

She also went on to thank the entire team which put together her fairytale-like wedding which was beautifully arranged. Sonam will be walking down the Cannes red carpet on May 14th and 15th. After that, she will get back to the grind and continue promoting her upcoming film ‘Veere Di Wedding’. She will also start shooting for her next projects ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ and ‘The Zoya Factor’.

While the families of the bride and the groom, kept the main ceremony a close-knit affair, they made sure that they got their close friends from the Bollywood circuit together under one roof for sangeet and reception.

Sonam has a busy schedule ahead, one of which is the coveted Cannes Film Festival. She will be walking down the red carpet on May 14th and 15th.
