Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who represents a popular cosmetic brand at the Cannes Film Festival, was denied entry there. According to a report on Filmibeat.com, Ash was stopped from entering the India Pavilion at the 68th Cannes Film Festival on May 19, 2015. Aishwarya had launched the first look of her comeback movie, Jazbaa, at Cannes. But when she arrived for a photo-call held to promote Jazbaa, she was denied entry because she didn't have the mandatory ‘Blue Pass.’ The report further states that the issue was resolved when the Indian Embassy protocol officer, Satya Paul Singh and representatives of FICCI (the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) came and convinced the authorities that the actress was a global celebrity and therefore she could not be stopped at the gate.
