7 foreign actors who disappeared after their first stint in Bollywood!

Bollywood industry has been a fascinating place that has attracted actors from the west. In the recent years, Bollywood has seen several names added to that list, whether actors who enchanted the Indian audience with their cute foreign accent or even the ones who were so good on the screen that they stole the night from our superstars, but were unfortunately seen only in one film in their Bollywood career. Here is a list of seven most memorable Hollywood actors who did one stint in Bollywood and disappeared from the 70 mm screen after being one-film wonders.

Paul Blackthorne

"Shart yeh hai ki tum humko is khel mein haraao aur hum tumhara lagaan maaf kar dega" (The bet is that if you defeat us in this game, I will forgive your taxes). This famous dialogue on which the entire film ‘Lagaan’ was based was spoken by Captain Andrew Russell aka English actor Paul Blackthorne. Paul spent six months to learn Hindi as this was his first Hindi film. After Lagaan, Paul did several American films and television shows, including 'ER', '24', 'The Dresden Files' and 'Arrow'. On a related note, Paul is also an accomplished photographer whose work has been showcased from Delhi to Manhattan.

Apart from acting, Shelley has written articles for The Guardian. Currently, the 46-year-old actress lives in London with her partner Matthew Parkhill, who is a TV writer, director, and producer. They have a daughter, born on 8 September 2009.
