Will K3G be the year's greatest blockbuster?

what do we say when: the indian film industry's biggest icon amitabh bachchan is paired opposite his actress-wife jaya bachchan after a gap of 18 years? the magical and most successful pair of shah rukh and kajol come together? the hottest stars of the millenium hrithik and kareena set the screen sizzling once again? do we call it a phenomenon? karan did an enormous job by bringing together six enormously popular indian film personalities to fit on a one 35mm screen."it was tough to co-ordinate their dates and i don't even want to think of the dread that i went through. i myself don't know how i managed it," is what the ace director had to say, surprised at himself for pulling it off. but he's done a good job of it. "i don't know. my film has been accepted but i am still nervous." it's testing time for kabhi khushi kabhie gham has the film done well? has it met expectations? will it break records? these are some questions that still remain unanswered. the film did experience 100 per cent collections in its first week and the second week looks as promising. trade sources inform us that the film is doing extraordinary business abroad, and domestically mumbai and gujarat have proved to be the best bets, though its performance in the interiors is skeptical. compared to karan johar's previous film, the source stated, "k3g is not a long term film and may surpass kuch kuch hota hai collections only due to its initial collections, whereas kkhh collected its revenues over a long period of time, it was more of a long-term film." but the true fate remains enigmatic. people expect the world of perfection out of this ensemble star cast that has never been. has k3g obliged?
