Amitabh Bachchan’s Vijay wearing the ‘786’ badge as a coolie gave the number a new cultural identity. It became a symbol of faith, luck, and resilience. Soon, 786 pendants, car numbers, and tattoos flooded the streets. It proves how a small prop could create a nationwide phenomenon. Later such a prop was also used in 'Coolie' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj where Rajinikanth has the coolie number 1421.

One more popular prop from 'Sholay'. It is none other than Basanti’s horse cart, with Dhanno leading the way. This prop added energy and charm to Sholay. Hema Malini’s lively character and the tanga became inseparable. It helped in turning a simple rural vehicle into a pop-culture icon frequently recreated and parodied.
