When Ananya Panday revealed her mother Bhavana Panday's 'nuskha' to protect her from nazar: 'Everyone thinks I don't shower..'

Ananya Panday celebrates her birthday today and the actress seems to be having a dream run in her career. Ananya who made her debut with ‘Student Of The Year 2’. She was last seen in ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ with Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan. While Ananya may be going great career wise, she also has her ways to keep the buri nazar (evil eye) at bay.

In typical Indian fashion, where mothers have their own tried-and-tested ways of protecting their children from bad vibes, Ananya’s mom, Bhavna Panday, also has her ritual. In a Netflix video, the actress had revealed that her mom applies two black dots behind her ears every single day to keep her away from evil eye.





Sharing the amusing side of it, Ananya said, "My mom put two black dots behind my ear before I came here. Everyone thinks I don’t shower or have something dirty behind my ear, but my mom keeps putting it again and again."

The actress further shared that her nazar cleansing routine doesn’t end there, it’s a weekly affair. "I take out my nazar every week. The help at my house does the mirchi thing. You know the mirchi thing? So, if it smells a lot, it means you have nazar. If the mirchi burns a lot, you have nazar," she added with a laugh.

While Ananya admits she doesn’t fully understand the “science” behind it, she happily goes along with her mom’s protective traditions.
