Vidyut Jammwal says he will never use a body double

Vidyut Jammwal, who is one of the world’s best martial artistes, has often spoken about his love for fitness. The

, known to perform his own daredevil stunts, is now eyeing a career in the west. He has reportedly tied up with an international agency to help him bag projects that will have a global appeal. Currently, Vidyut has ‘Sanak’ and ‘Commando 4’ in his kitty. In ‘Sanak’, he will be seen opposite Bengali actress Rukmini Maitra, who will be making her Bollywood debut with the film. The film, which is being directed by Kanishk Varma, will also feature Chandan Roy Sanyal and Neha Dhupia.


His previous release, ‘Khuda Haafiz’, did well and makers have already started work on the sequel. The cast, comprising Vidyut and Shivaleeka Oberoi, has commenced script reading sessions. The film will be directed by Faruk Kabir and the makers plan to go on floors soon.

In a recent interview, Vidyut had admitted that he would never use a body double. He said, “I joined the industry to become an action star. If I start using body doubles, it will be like lying to myself and the audience. I love the thrill of performing challenging stunts; why will I allow someone else to enjoy it? I want to experience every single scene, even if it is playing dead for 10 minutes. If I don’t do it today, I will become lazy and end up like many actors who left action.”
