Today, Vicky Kaushal's biographical war drama film 'Sam Bahadur' will finally open in cinemas. Recently, the actor interacted with fans and detailed the directors he would want to work with.

In an interaction with Pinkvilla, Vicky responded to the many questions from his personal and professional life. He also revealed his dream director, whom he would want to work for. The actor paused for seconds and named S.S. Rajamouli, Zoya Akhtar, Mani Ratnam, and Sriram Raghavan.

On November 29, a special screening was held, which was attended by many celebrities, including his wife, Katrina Kaif, along with the entire Kaushal family. Taking to social media, the actress wrote, "@meghnagulzar, such a poetic and beautiful classic film, was transported to another era. You can see your passion for telling his story and attention to detail in every shot. And SAM! GRACE, HEROISM, and GRIT What a flawless performance! I’m just astounded. You are too inspiring, true to your craft in the most brilliant, integral way. I was so proud to watch you shine your way across the screen. I’ve seen you this past year pour yourself into this film and transform into Sam. A performance to be remembered.”

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, Vicky Kaushal will be seen essaying the role of the patriotic war hero Sam Manekshaw, who went on to become India's first field marshal. It was written by Bhavani Iyer and Shantanu Srivastava and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. Other actors such as Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub will be seen in supporting roles.
