#VarunKiShaadi: Here's what happened at Varun Dhawan-Natasha Dalal’s wedding

Childhood sweethearts Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal tied the knot on January 24 at the plush Mansion House, a beach resort in Alibaug. While the guest list was limited due to the pandemic, the bride and groom's close friends and family more than made up for it during the bachelor's party, sangeet, haldi and mehndi ceremonies. Here are the highlights of the event:

2/6

Mandatory Covid-19 test

The pandemic had already cut the guest short. Even David Dhawan's close friend filmmaker-actor Satish Kaushik couldn't make it to the shaadi due to the threat of the virus. But even the ones that attended had to go through mandatory Covid tests at the entrance to ensure the safety of everyone present.

3/6

No cell phone policy

Varun and Natasha wanted their wedding to be a very private affair. To ensure no blurry pics made it online, they put stickers on cell phones of the staff who were managing the wedding. The sticker, a high-tech blue-hued label, is programmed to set off a security alarm if removed.

4/6

Fan presence

Fans of the actor are very excited about the wedding. Several fans thronged the venue to catch a glimpse of their favourite with his newlywed wife and to give him the gifts they had brought along. One such fan, a 21-year-old came bearing 80-90 handmade sketches of the actor.

5/6

A filmi entry

Varun made a 'heroic' entry, trading the traditional mare for a quad bike as songs like ‘Heeriye Sehra Bandh Ke Main To Aaya Re’ playing in the background. Did he also sing, ‘Tera Hero Idhar Hai’ for Natasha?

6/6

After-party shenanigans

After the traditional ceremonies, the bride and groom let their hair down to celebrate with their guests. Toasts were raised for the newlywed couple against the backdrop of dreamy lights. Lebanese, Mexican, and Indian fare was served to the guests and the floor was thrown open for some 'awkward but enthusiastic dancing'.
