The filmmaker told ETimes that he always believed in her potential, and the decision to mentor her was one he never regretted. "Madhuri is the finest example I can give through my 50 years of studentship. Her humbleness and dedication have been deeply rooted in her since her early days, a trait imparted by her mother, who raised her with great values. Madhuri never went overboard with her marketing strategies. She was the best student of mine since 1984."

Ghai recalled how he had introduced Madhuri to Saroj Khan, the legendary choreographer. The decision had been strategic; Saroj Khan’s expertise in dance was unparalleled, and Ghai knew Madhuri would benefit immensely from her guidance. "I remember when I handed her over to Saroj Khan for film dancing skills, sShe learned the best from her. No one else could match the brilliance she exhibited as an on screen dancer. To this day, she shines as a beacon of grace."

Celebrating Madhuri Dixit’s 40 years in Bollywood he Ghai concluded, "I am truly happy for sweet nature and integrity. Her wonderful husband and talented kids are a testament to the loving person she is. She deserves all the happiness in the world."

Madhuri Dixit marked her acting debut in 1984 with Abodh and went on to feature in hits like Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, Dil To Pagal Hai and Pukar to name a few.
