Guru Dutt

Guru Dutt, the legendary actor and filmmaker behind classics such as “Pyaasa” and “Kaagaz Ke Phool”, passed away in 1964, which shocked the entire film fraternity. He is believed to have overdosed and died under mysterious circumstances. Though his achievement is somewhat overshadowed by his struggles, the genius of Guru Dutt is still widely recognized.

Divya Bharti

Divya Bharti, one of the most beautiful actresses of the 90s, enchanted Bollywood with songs like “Deewana” and “Shola Aur Shabnam.” “Millions were shocked when she fell from a Mumbai apartment balcony to her death at age 19.” Several suspicions were raised as to what really happened; some suggested foul play and others hinted at a terrible accident but it was never established.

Jiah Khan

Renowned for her audacious role in “Nishabd” and subsequent performances in films like “Ghajini” and “Housefull,” Jiah Khan was discovered hanging at her Mumbai residence in 2013, at the age of 25.

Parveen Babi

A glamour icon of the ’70s and ’80s, she gained stardom with films like “Amar Akbar Anthony” and “Deewaar.” Sadly, her life was full of struggles because of her mental health. The actress was found dead in her apartment in Mumbai in 2005.

Sridevi

The late seasoned actress Sridevi captivated the audiences in “Chandni”, “Mr. India,” and numerous other hits. Her untimely demise in Dubai, caused by accidental drowning in 2018, plunged the entire nation into mourning and reminded us how unexpectedly even legends leave us.
