Lata Mangeshkar's health has deteriorated and she was put on ventilator support. Fans and admirers of Lata ji from all around the globe are praying for her speedy recovery. Now, Congress Interim President
Sonia Gandhi expressed her concern over the veteran singer's health.

Sonia Gandhi has expressed deep concern about the health of India’s singing legend, Lata Mangeshkar & has prayed for her early recovery. Smt. Gandhi said, 'Generations have grown up listening to her melodious voice. India needs her'.''

Dr Pratit Samdani informed ANI, “Lata Mangeshkar's health condition has deteriorated again, she is critical. She is on a ventilator. She is still in ICU and will remain under the observation of doctors.”
When ETimes reached out to Dr Samdani, he confirmed the development and said, "Lata ji is under strict observation. She remains in a delicate condition."
The singer was admitted to the hospital in early January after she tested positive for Covid-19 and was also diagnosed with
pneumonia. Lata Mangeshkar had mild symptoms and was admitted to the ICU. Around January 28, the singer was taken off the ventilator after she showed slight signs of improvement.
