and Gayatri Joshi, where she told Neha Dhupia that it was her hair that landed her a role in her first film K Ravi Shankar's 'Aag' (1994) and 'Hum Saath Saath Hai' (1999). She says that her whole life seemed to have been centered around hair as she had endorsed every hair product.

When it came to shaving her hair, her friends wanted her to keep it and make a wig of it, but she chose to get rid of it as she wanted to let go of the old hair in a symbolic way. She said she wanted to enjoy getting rid of it as much as she loved wearing it.
