‘She told me to hit him more’: Parmeet Sethi reveals how he beat up a drunk man in a bar for Archana Puran Singh
Actors Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi recently traveled to Pune with their two sons and future daughter-in-law Yogita Bihani. During their visit, they explored various famous eateries around the city, sharing numerous entertaining stories along the way. Parmeet, who is known for his fondness for ‘dad jokes,’ reminisced about an early incident with Archana, when he stood up for her by confronting a man who was bothering her at a bar.
Funny story in Budhwar Peth
While exploring menus at various eateries in Pune, the group ended up in Budhwar Peth, planning to enjoy Misal with bread instead of the usual Pav. It was there that Parmeet shared a joke about a sober man fighting drunk men in a bar. Aaryamann quickly asked, “Dad, how do you know that fights usually happen in bars?” Parmeet smirked and replied, “Beta, ek toh maine teri maa ke liye ki thi. (Son, one of those fights I fought for your mother.)”
The Africa incident
Archana confirmed that this incident took place when they were in Africa during the early days of their relationship. Parmeet shared, “Koi ek aadmi tang kar raha tha mummy ko (Some guy was bothering your mother), and I am talking about when we had just started dating. The best part is… Most women stop their partners from fighting, but she kept telling me, ‘Hit him more.’” Archana then hid her face in embarrassment as everyone else laughed at the story.
Culinary adventures in Pune
They also explored the renowned German Bakery in Pune, indulging in treats like chocolate eclairs, lemon tarts, bun-maska, and spinach omelettes. Following that, the group visited Ferguson College Road, famous for its vibrant South Indian culinary scene, where they enjoyed delicious dishes and praised both the flavors and the excellent service they experienced.
