While she is currently shooting for Shakun Batra’s next, DP will soon shift focus to Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’ and will also be seen in her home production venture, remake of Hollywood film ‘The Intern’. Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathan'
Deepika Padukone will reunite with her ‘Om Shaanti Om’ and ‘Chennai Express’ co-star Shah Rukh Khan for his next venture titled ‘Pathan’. While they have been shooting at a studio in Mumbai for this much anticipated film, the team is expected to travel to some exotic international locations too. ‘Pathan’ will see Deepika Padukone in an action packed avatar. Helmed by Siddhath Anand, this film also features John Abraham in a pivotal role.

Shakun Batra's next
Helmed by Shakun Batra, the narrative of this yet untitled venture features Deepika in an intense relationship drama, wherein she will share the frame with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday. Deepika and Siddhant have been spotted time and again at the Gateway of India, as they have been shooting for this film in Alibaug. Deepika, Ananya and Siddhant make for a fresh team and it will be interesting to see their onscreen camaraderie.

Mahabharata
Stepping into the period drama zone yet again, Deepika Padukone will be seen essaying the role of Draupadi. She is currently working on the film’s pre-production of the mythological drama Mahabharat, which is scheduled to go on floors in early 2022. Speaking about the film Deepika had previously told Mumbai Mirror, “I’m absolutely thrilled and honoured to be essaying the role of Draupadi. I truly believe that it is the role of a lifetime.”
‘The Intern’ remake
Romancing Prabhas in Nag Ashwin's next
Deepika Padukone has been paired opposite Prabhas in a grand pan-India film, which will be helmed by Nag Ashwin. The sci-fi themed drama also features Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role. Deepika is expected to start shooting for this film after wrapping up Shakun's Batra’s project. Interestingly, DP will be juggling shoot time between ‘Pathan’ and this venture.
