Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan' teaser copied from 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier', 'Dus', 'WAR'? Twitterati thinks so

The teaser of Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming film 'Pathaan' was finally unveiled on the occasion of the superstar's 57th birthday. Laced with action, adrenaline-pumping chase sequences and some breathtaking visuals, the film is set to see SRK return to the big screen as a spy who refuses to give up and claws his way out of any given situation. While fans have been celebrating the release of the trailer, there are those who said that the teaser left them with a feeling of deja vu.

Taking to Twitter, many slammed director Sidharth Anand for 'copy pasting' portions of the film from other hit movies including his previous hit 'WAR' and even 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' and said, "Shah Rukh Khan and his fans deserved better." Take a look...

Fans of the Russo Brothers' 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' pointed out that John Abraham's entry as the antagonist in the trailer was similar to that of Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barns in the Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson starrer. Both masked characters come on-screen and fire a missile at an approaching vehicle.

"Pura copy paste kar diya," said a fan while sharing side-by-side shots of Sidharth Anand's 2019 film 'War' and his latest Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Pathaan'. Besides comparing a song sequence, a chase sequence and a scene on a frozen lake appear to be similar.

"Every masterpiece has a cheap copy" said another Twitter user while sharing a similar action scene between SRK's 'Pathaan' and the 2005 film 'Dus'. The scene features the heroes on bikes, dropping a bomb through the window of a car.

Another social media user pointed out that SRK's scene taking to the skies with a jetpack, was a "cheap copy" of Prabhas' superhit film 'Saaho'. Sharing photos of both stars with their jet packs the tweet read, "Saaho looks better than Pathaan. Saaho was directed by a short film director it was his 1st movie."

And finally, some went ahead and predicted that the emotional scene between Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's characters in the film would be similar to Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's in the 'Tiger' franchise.
