Shah Rukh Khan rejected ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’

It is difficult to imagine ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ without Shah Rukh Khan. But did you know that the actor had initially rejected the movie? SRK had once revealed that he didn’t want to do romantic roles and was enjoying the success that his negative portrayals in ‘Darr’ and ‘Baazigar’ had brought. However, he finally came around and delivered a resounding success which is remembered for years.

Akshay Kumar had rejected ‘Special 26’

Akshay Kumar’s conman-like act in this heist drama was massively loved by fans. But initially the actor was not too convinced with the role. Speaking to a news portal, Akshay had revealed that Neeraj Pandey had to wait for a few months as Akshay didn’t like the script that was first narrated to him. Few months down the line, Akshay said that he loved the idea and they went ahead with the movie.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui shot to fame as Ganesh Gaitonde in hit OTT series ‘Sacred Games’. However, a skeptical Nawaz had initially rejected the idea. The actor had revealed “I rejected Sacred Games initially as I honestly had no idea how the world of web series worked at that point in time. It took Vikramaditya Motwane 1-1.5 months to convince me to do the role.”

Kareena Kapor Khan had rejected ‘Chameli’

Kareena Kapoor delivered a path-breaking performance with ‘Chameli’, but initially she was unsure about accepting the role.
