Shah Rukh Khan took over the top trends on social media after photos from his pilgrimage to Mecca went viral. After wrapping his 'Dunki' shoot in Saudi Arabia, the Bollywood superstar jetted off to Mecca to perform Umrah, at the holy city. Draped in white, the actor was seen wearing a Covid-19 protective mask, but that was not enough to stop fans from recognising him.

According to a viral throwback tweet, the actor mentioned his desire to visit Mecca and Madina 'soon'.

Ali Fazal who recently completed shooting his Hollywood film 'Kandahar' in Saudi Arabia, took a detour off the sets for a spiritual outing. Ali paid a visit to Mecca and Medina and also shared a video of his visit there. "What a way to end my shoot!" Ali said in his post and went on to add, "I am truly blessed I think in many ways. I like to think at least. This one was for Amma and Nana. Their loss will never heal me .. maybe healing isn’t the answer. Seeking is. We’ll find out. But I prayed and I prayed for all those around me."

Shortly after tying the knot, actress Gauahar Khan and her husband Zaid Darbar headed to Mecca for a pilgrimage. The couple, who tied the knot in December 2020, shared several, glimpses of themselves from the holy site. Sharing her happiness with all on social media, Gauahar wrote, "My dream come true to be doing Umrah with my husband. Greatest joy."

Actress Sana Khan, who quit showbiz after marriage, toured the country and the world with her hubby. Besides playing tourists, the couple also made sure to add a pilgrimage to their checklist, especially during the holy month of Ramzan. Sana, took to her social media handles to share photos from her Haj pilgrimage.

Aamir Khan made headlines when he fulfilled his mother's wish to visit Mecca on a pilgrimage. The actor revealed that he promised his mother Zainat Hussein that they would take her to the holy site and fulfilled his promise in 2012. Photos of the actor praying and pushing his mother on the wheel chair, went viral among fans.
