'Shabaash Mithu' teaser: Taapsee Pannu takes her place on the cricket pitch to lead the Women in Blue as Captain Mithali Raj

Taapsee Pannu is set to bring the story of Mithali Raj, the Captain of the Indian Women's team to the big screen with her next outing 'Shabaash Mithu'.
After releasing a post on the occasion of women's day, the actress on Monday dropped the teaser trailer that introduces the audience to Mithali and her achievements in the field of cricket. "In a sport dominated by Gentlemen, she did not bother to rewrite history.Instead, she created HERSTORY," she captioned the post.

The film narrates the life of Mithali, the Indian Captain who continues to shatter numerous world records while successfully leading the women in blue at the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup 2022.
While the teaser highlights the achievements of the cricketer, the film chronicles her life on and off the field, including the highs and lows she faced on her road to victory.
Taapsee essays the titular role in the film that will also see actor Vijay Raaz in a key role.
'Shabaash Mithu' has been shot in India and even has a crucial scene shot at the iconic Lords Stadium in London. The actress has been taking to her handle to share glimpses from her time on the sets.
The film directed by Rahul Dholakia is expected to hit the big screen 'soon'.
