Sanjay Dutt: Every hurdle coming my way is just another step up the ladder for me

. He had just started working on his first film down South, KGF: Chapter 2, when the lockdown set in. He was also expected to team up with Arshad Warsi for a comedy film with director Sajid Samji and a host of other projects which are in different stages of production.

In the current phase, would he say that he is at the busiest peak of his career? Sanjay says, “An actor's life is unpredictable. Some days, you have loads of work and some days you just relax. This isn’t the first time; I have juggled between characters but that has happened in the past as well. It’s more like re-living my past in a modern way.”

Talking about his greatest challenges as an actor today and how he deals with them, Sanjay says, “The only challenge one must have is never being complacent with oneself. Constantly train, learn and focus on yourself. Keep yourself updated about the interesting work that is happening. However, always beware that the moment you get concerned about someone else and their success, you lose yourself, as it’s a downward spiral from there. A positive attitude is also very important as challenges will come, they are a part of life. It’s the lens with which you look at them that makes all the difference.”

When asked to point out that one thing that has been the most difficult for him in his second innings as an actor, Sanjay says, “As I mentioned earlier, challenges and difficulties will be there, it is the way you look at them, that will help you overcome them. Every hurdle coming my way is just another step up the ladder for me, even at this age to become better. So, I feel everything depends on how much work and effort I put in my work.”
