Salman Khan: Our Indian soldiers are the real heroes

The clock is ticking down to the big Eid release of Salman Khan's next flick 'Tubelight'. The actor has been out and about town promoting the upcoming war drama that is set in the backdrop of the Indo-China war. In a candid chat with Maharashtra Times, the Bollywood superstar opened up about his admiration towards the armed forces and also his love for Marathi cinema.
Taking a cue from 'Tubelight', Salman said that soldiers who fight for the nation are the real heroes opposed to actors who play the part in films.He said, "Our Indian soldiers are the real heroes but unfortunately they are not getting proper facilities and appreciation for their bravery."

Salman Khan, who will be seen in Riteish Deshmukh's next Marathi film based on Shivaji Chhatrapati Maharaj, also opend up on his love for the Marathi language. "'Marathi is my mother tongue," the actor said while also admiting that he speaks it fluently at home with his mother.
