Nitesh Tiwari is gearing up for the biggest project of his career, an adaptation of Hindu epic Ramayana. The filmmaker is putting together an ambitious cast, increasing the anticipation for the movie.
While Ranbir Kapoor essays Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi has been roped in to play the part of Goddess Sita. Latest addition to the cast is Lara Dutta, who is in talks to play the role of Princess Kaikeyi.
Revealing details about the shoot, a source exclusively told ETimes, "The entire team of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is busy prepping for the film and working on the looks of their respective characters. In all probability the shooting of the film will begin in mid-April. Most of the actors of the film are slowly disappearing from the public eye and will be shooting on different sets put up in film city."
Yash, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Rakul Preet Singh and Amitabh Bachchan have also been associated with the project but there has been no official confirmation about the final cast. According to reports, the film's official announcement is scheduled for April 17, 2024, which falls on the same day as this year's Ram Navami festival, which honors Lord Ram's birth.
