Ranbir Kapoor once revealed that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan didn’t treat him like a kid on the sets of ‘Aa Ab Laut Chalen’
Who would forget the moment when they first came face to face with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Ranbir Kapoor who was just out of college also didn’t forget it; the first time they met was on the sets of Aa Ab Laut Chalen which his late father Rishi Kapoor was directing- the last film under RK banner. Back then neither Ranbir nor Aishwarya knew that one day, the two of them would share screen space. 17 years later they were brought together by Karan Johar in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
In his conversation with Hindustan Times, Ranbir shared that he was grateful for having a chance to work with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and also stated how many heroes of his generation would get an opportunity to work with her.
Recalling his time from the sets of Aa Ab Laut Chalein he shared that he was about 16 , fresh out of school but wasn’t intimidated by Aishwarya when she was acting.
He added that when he was on the sets , she would talk to him just like she would talk to his dad or Akshaye Khanna. He also mentioned that since he was the son of the director of the film, everyone was treating him like a kid but Aishwarya didn’t do it and he really admired that quality of hers.
He is a self confessed fan of Aishwarya and mentioned that she’s not only talented and beautiful but she never throws it in your face.
Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War with Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt, slated to release next year. He also has Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan 1 releasing on Diwali where he plays Lord Ram.
